Swaddle recommendations, please!

Due baby #3 soon. Please could anyone recommend any good swaddle-type sleep bags for the early days?

I'm looking for the ones with zips/buttons that baby can have it's arms either in or poking out of. I keep seeing some on Facebook, I think they are maybe called Love to Dream or similar? Anyone tried and tested these?

I'd prefer not to buy swaddle blankets and swaddle totally myself as I didn't swaddle my other children so don't feel that comfortable with it and worry about it coming loose.

Thanks in advance!

Gro bag snug but just buy one to begin with me DD hated hers and so had to go and buy normal sleeping bags

Love to Dream ones are super good.

We used miracle blankets with my eldest and it saved his sleep completely in the early days. Tried one with my new baby and he hated it and wriggled his arms out on his first night home from hospital. He wants to have his arms up so the love to dream ones work better for him.

They aren't cheap so I'd look on Facebook marketplace to start with.

The Tommee Tippee Gro Bag snuggle. It can be used as a swaddle with the arms poppered or as a regular sleeping bag with them undone. Just beware the sizing as I found they run really small.

Another vote for our love to dream swaddles!

We had the Love to dream ones but DD hated swaddling so they were a waste. I wouldn’t buy loads of swaddle bags in case they hate swaddling. Even the non-swaddle love to dream ones are snug across the chest though so are sort of swaddle-like but they can have their arms out.

SatinHeart · 29/06/2022 16:35

Grobag snug. Then when it turns out they hate swaddling you can let their arms out and it works like a normal sleeping bag.

For us DC1 loathed being swaddled, Dc2 liked it.

Another vote for Love to dream! We tried the Halo as well but love to dream was better and better for transitioning also xx
