Breastfeeding 5m old bedtime routine

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone can share their experiences of what worked for them for a bedtime routine for a breastfed baby. Currently we do bath, nappy, PJ's, story in the nursery, then move to the bedroom and put sleeping bag on before I feed to sleep and put her down asleep. This worked great until a couple of weeks ago when she keeps waking when I put her down in her next to me and is then really difficult to settle. Before if she woke when I put her down she would settle again in a few minutes with me shushing and patting her. Now she only settles if I feed her again and try putting her down again. It can take 3 or 4 attempts which means her bedtime is getting quite late.

I'm thinking I need to stop feeding her to sleep but not sure how to do it. Does anyone have any advice on what worked for you?

Also, she normally has around 10-11 hours of sleep at night and around 2.5 hours sleep during the day. Is this enough for a 5 month old? We have a good pre nap routine and generally she goes down easily on her own (with some thumb sucking) but she almost always wakes after 30-45 minutes so we end up with 3 or 4 short naps and sometimes a long awake window between the last nap and bedtime.

Sorry that ended up being quite long. Thanks for reading! Any advice much appreciated 😊
