Sleep and illness

My 10.5 month old has had a high grade temperature the last few days. Last week she saw a doctor who said she had fluid build up in both ears so when her fever spiked to 40.1 on Sunday I assumed her ears had become infected. I saw the GP yesterday who checked and said no infection, no throat infection either and likely just a viral infection. A tooth is dangerously close to cutting but I don’t think teething could cause such a high temperature.
I’d been managing to control her fever with calpol and nurofen yesterday but it came up again to 39.4 overnight and at 1am she was awake screaming, unable to get comfortable in my arms which resulted in us eventually co-sleeping at 3am. That was a mistake as she proceeded to kick me until eventually getting up at 5.30am. She’s barely slept and neither have I.

Any tips on getting through illness with some sort of sleep? Should I be offering her longer naps today? I usually make sure she doesn’t nap more than 2.75 hours total.
