Snuzpod mattress sick

Hi all,

My daughter is 4 weeks old and during the mini heatwave we just had I removed the waterproof cover from her snuzpod mattress as I read it can make them hotter… she was sick a few times on it (over two nights) and now I’m worried because I can’t clean the mattress!!! Can only machine wash the cover but the sick would have gone straight through it onto the foam as it is like a mesh and that can’t be cleaned.

I realise now it was a silly thing to do to remove the waterproof cover but it made sense at the time. Am I best to buy a new mattress for her? Worried about germs and the risk of SIDS.

If you're worried buy a new mattress and get a really nice non plastic feeling protector like the one from the little green sheep company
