15 month old sleep avoidance

In need of some advice please...

Two weeks ago I weaned my LO off the boobie. I have pretty much always nursed her to sleep prior to this. Since weaning she has been totalling refusing to go to bed at night (she just wants to play) unless I take her out in the pram or in the car which obviously isn't a long term solution.

I have tried adjusting naps to ensure she is tired enough/not overtired for bed. If I try to rock and cuddle her, she just squirms her way out of my arms. If I put her in the cot she just cries and/or stands up wanting to be lifted out. I have tried singing and reading to her which she'll enjoy for a short period then want to play again. Every evening I have tried getting her to sleep using some or all of these methods for an hour before finally giving up and taking her out in the pram or car.

Any advice is welcome I just need some other ideas on how to get my LO to sleep without pram or car. By the way when she does sleep she generally sleeps for 11-12 hours.

Thanks in advance.
