DD is 9 months old and only wants to nap on my boob and I have no idea how to break the cycle. When I don’t feed her to sleep she screams herself silly and will not calm down enough to nap. She has refused to ever take a dummy.
When my DH is home he can get her to fall asleep through rocking/white noise but this only works if I’m not in the room and he will still have to hold her through her nap. DH is also barely home as he has a demanding job so I need to find a way that works for me.
I have a 2 year old who is fed up of having to stay quiet when baby sleeps on my lap and it is just so unfair on him. We try and do one nap on the move as she will sleep in a sling/car seat (DD hates the push chair) but she takes forever to drop off and will normally only sleep for 20/30 minutes. Also because I have the toddler I feel like I can’t spend an age in the baby’s room trying to get her down for a nap.
DD is fine at bedtime and will go down awake and fall asleep with no screaming. I don’t know where I am going wrong with naps. Any practical advice would be so appreciated
