16 month breast fed baby wakes up at 4/5am daily

hiya,

my 16 month old wakes up between 4/5am every morning. i usually breast feed her and put her back to sleep and she will do another hour. which is fine if she wakes up at 5am and sleeps till 6am but when she wakes up at 4am and then is up at 5am it's exhausting...

if she wakes up at 5am sometimes she will crash by 9am for 1 hour and then id give her another hour nap around 3pm. if not, sometimes i can keep her going on till after lunch and she will sleep 12.30-1.30 and then if i give her boob (human pacifier style!) she could sleep another hour or 2...

she eats really well and we go out and do activities/fresh air etc) whatever nap/naps she takes she always goes down by 7.30 no problem! but it's just the super early waking up i want to conquer.. or maybe need to just suck it up and get used to it..

any tips would be greatly appreciated!! xxxx

My 3.5 year old still gets up at 5am most days. It’s painful.

I just go to bed earlier

Normal and she does a really good stretch before waking. Ds woke at 5 until he was 3. Sorry!

What does she have before bed? Mine always had milk and a Weetabix!! At 9 months I got ds of bf several times a night as I was on my knees.... Then he slept 7til 7. For years!!

With both of mine, I just kept them up later at night, which meant they would go through till 7 or 8 the following day.
