Advice please? 5mo sleep

For the past 2/3 weeks my 5mo won’t go in his cot at all

he used to go down about 8/9 then wake maybe half an hour later for one settling but then sleep until 12 (next bottle) Sometimes until 2/3 if he was tired.

Now he refuses. I’ll put him down and every half hour or hour he’ll wake for settling then we get to 12 he has his bottle and ends up in bed with us and it’s been like this for weeks now

why won’t he go in his cot? I know everyone says make my life easier and co sleep but I actually don’t sleep I’m worried about rolling on him and any time he moves I wake. I would ideally like our own beds I love him so much I’ll do anything for him this isn’t me saying I won’t!

Just wondering why the sudden aversion
? Any tips please is this normal?

(PS the cot I mean is a bedside Snuz pod, he hasn’t gone in his own room)

Have you tried a bigger sleeping space? My baby started to grow out of the snoozepod at 5 months and slept much better in a cot once we made the switch.

@MumtherofCats I have tried intially putting him in his nursery cot of a night and he still woke for settling and I gave in!

should I maybe persist wit’s this?

It helped for us. The other thing that helped when we were having hourly wakes was following Georgina May and Lyndsey Hookway to learn about normal infant sleep and research/evidence based strategies (eg not wake windows etc). I realised my baby was getting too much sleep during the day and once I reduced the day sleep this also made a huge difference. Fingers crossed you are able to work it out.
