What age is it safe to get a pillow/duvet for a toddler? Still in a sleeping bag but fast growing out of it.

DS was in a sleeping bag until 3 I think. He was a wriggler and he often bypassed the rail on his toddler bed and fell out (onto a blow up bed that was down the side to catch him). Having him in a sleeping bag kept him asleep!

They are considered ok from age 1

Thank you. DC likes to sleep sideways and often ends up at the other end of the bed to where they were when they went to sleep. Is that an issue?
