How do i create a bedtime routine

Hi all
my baby is 4 months on the 28th May. At the moment in the evenings she has a bottle between 7-7.30pm, and then usually falls asleep around 8/8.30pm and stays asleep downstairs with us until we take her to bed with us around 10/10.30 when she has another bottle, goes in her grobag then in her next2me crib. She’ll sleep then til 2/3, has a feed then back off til around 6am on average.

we go abroad next week, and then when we get home she has her 16 wk injections but once she has settled back down after these i’m wanting to try create a loose bedtime routine. I can’t commit to bathing her every night, it just doesn’t fit with our evenings and other child, but should I be maybe taking her upstairs for the 7pm bottle and trying to have this as bedtime given she falls asleep an hour after this and stays asleep then til the next feed? Thank you

I would just find something that works for you, and make it your routine. Doesn’t have to be the typical bath, story, bed. A routine is just something in which you repeat so baby then associates it with bed time :)

we started off doing, milk, bath and bed to get her into a ‘typical’ routine, but now we only do bath every other night but she still goes down fine.

it will be nice if you can get baby down a bit earlier and have evenings to yourself again
