Suddenly having sleep problems at 8.5 months

Hoping someone can help me!

My DD is 8.5 months old. She wasn't a massive fan of sleep in the early months (naps or night time) and we had an absolute monster of a 4 month regression that lasted about 2 months. I also had to walk her round for every single nap as she wouldnt sleep otherwise. It was exhausting.

However for the last 2 months or so her sleep has improved dramatically to the point where she has been doing 8pm - 7am with 2 1.5 hour naps during the day, all in her cot in her own room. It's been wonderful and I thought we had finally cracked it!

This week though it seems to have gone pear shaped! She wont let me just put her down in her cot for a nap anymore, she just cries and cries until I give up. Some days we havent managed to get an afternoon nap in at all. When she does go to sleep she has started waking and crying after 45 mins.

Bed time is the same, she is crying after being put down or will sleep for a bit and then I hear her crying and I need to go and give her a cuddle to resettle her, multiple times at the beginning of the night. Last night she was up crying at 2am after not waking in the night for months.

I'm a bit confused what is going on. She is drinking the recommended amount of formula and eats plenty of solids. She doesn't appear to be in pain.

Does anyone have any ideas please? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like lo is overtired, which can cause waking in middle of night being upset and Waking after a sleep cycle of 45mins approx and needing resettling.

Next few days I would have few days at home and really work on naps and get long and really good sleep. If you have to contact sleep may be way forward for now as lo may be struggling to drop off as overtired.
