Hi, our 6 months old was never a good sleeper and she had a 4 months old sleep regression which took 8 weeks to then have 2 wakings a night for one week which was like a dream for us!!!

now we got another regression??? We started weaning her and she also had a fever as we had a flu or tonsillitis 3 weeks back but now she starts crying as soon as she is put to bed!!! She could self settle for couple months till now when it all changed and once she is put to bed she starts crying and only breastfeed can calm her down. This needs to be repeated 3-5x and takes like an hour to put her down for night sleep (she can only sleep on my wife or pram during the day past week since this started).

Then she initially sleeps for 2 hours and wakes up crying so she gets fed and after 30 min she cry a bit and fall asleep then hour and a half later she again wake up crying so again she is fed and after 30 min she cry a bit and falls asleep, then 3 hours lated same story and then 3 hours later again she wakes up for the day without crying.

We have no idea what has happened to her as she never cried in the bed just fussed a bit. She has started sitting up 3 weeks ago and crawling this week.

She is this crying sleeper for past week and it does not seem to be improving. Her day naps are also shorter then it used to be ( used to be 45 - 120 - 30 min now it is 30 - 60 - 30).

Sounds like your baby likes sucking to sleep. It's not unusual, sucking is nature's way to pacify a baby and help them relax to sleep.

I would suggest working to establish a dummy.
