My little one has always struggled with sleep. She point blank refuses her next to me so I've had to co sleep (I know a lot disagree) with her on the bed and even then the most I get if I'm lucky is 2.5hrs. The only way I can get her to nap is to feed her and let her fall asleep like that but it means I get nothing done I have no break as its just me and her and as much as I love her I would like to be able to put her down for her naps. She wakes up instantly and starts crying as soon as I move her to the crib (and even the bed if it's just a nap) I'm just lost and feel like a bad mum when she's clearly so tired :(

Currently sat here with my 4 month old sleeping on me while I have a cuppa and watch Netflix. My only saving grace is she will nap for 30 mins in her cot so I can have a tidy round etc then I rock her and she has another hour on me. Is she tired enough when you put her down? Does she have a dummy? Practice putting her in the crib when she’s awake and sitting with her, singing, talking, having a play just so she can get use to it. It’s hard but you are not alone!

Mine was just like this.

Will she sleep in the pram? Mine would if we tucked her in with white noise and the sun shade down so it was dark. We started doing all her naps on the move like that, then transitioned to walking just to get her off to sleep then parking her in the hall once she was off, to just putting her in the pram and not moving it at all, then we put the pram in the cot. It took until she was about 6.5 months but now she naps in her cot.

I look at my nephew who will sleep anywhere with such envy as it was a total nightmare getting even a 30 minute nap out of my DD at that age so you have my sympathies!

Oh and with the next 2 me at night time we just had to be persistent. It took an awful lot of picking up, feeding back to sleep etc until she got used to it but she did. Also warming it with a hot water bottle before putting her down seemed to help.

MumOfOne112721 I feel you, I am in the exact same position , I get Nothing done as most of the day revolves around taking the LO to bed to avoid overtiredness. Nights are also a meas, it takes 2hrs for her to settle as she cluster feeds, it's so hard isn't it. 💔
