Giant next-to-me crib?

My baby is HUGE - very long in the leg. He’s grown out of the snuzpod already at 3 months old but he’s still waking so much in the night I can’t stand the idea of having to get up, go over to a big cot and lean over and haul him out at 3am, or hoick him over some bars given he weighs about 10 tonnes. Does anyone know if there are cots with a detachable side which come bigger than a snuzpod (it’s about a metre long I think)?

We had the normal cot, with the side off, next to our bed. I can’t remember how we attached it, or even if we did-I think it was just adjacent? You could tie the cot frame to the bed frame… maybe that’s what we did?!

We just used a standard IKEA cot, took one side off and cable tied the cot to the bed for extra stability.

Oh ok, and that obviously worked well for you guys? I’m a FTM and scared of him falling down a gap between the beds or something like that!

We had the Babylo Next To Me. Both my girls were in it until just after 6mo. DD1 was 8lb 10oz at birth so wasn't a small baby either Smile

Thanks for the ideas all!
