8 week old has stopped napping at all!?

Has this happened to anyone else? I'm demented. Up until a few days ago she was going 6hours or so at night with naps during th day. Suddenly a few days ago she just stopped sleeping during the day. I've tried everything. Things that used to work like the pram no longer do. Even rocking, cuddling and dummy now takes 45 mins to work and then she wakes after 30 mins or less. She also has reflux so this is now hell. I'm so worried because she is only getting about 8 hours now in a 24 period, which isnt enough. Her eyes are red and sore from tiredness and crying. Any ideas what's going on or what to do?

This was my experience with my DD that had silent reflux. She slept (aka passed out) from 11pm-6am ish and that was it from 7 weeks old.

Held upright or feeding else screamed.

It was very very very challenging.

My 10 week old has thus far been through a couple of phases of not wanting to nap/ non stop crying/ only sleeping in the day if I hold her and walk around / stand upright. Have you got the wonder weeks app? I think DD’s tricky phases have been corresponding with the development leaps on there… I find it easier to deal with knowing it’s going to happen and that it will pass! Also during the last phase like this, I discovered that she DOES sleep in her sling, either if I’m wandering round the house or if I go out for a walk (otherwise had to hold her upright over shoulder and pace until she slept, which could take ages!). Have also discovered that once she’s asleep, playing white noise stops her waking herself up as easily (she’s more likely to stir and then resettle).

Fingers crossed it improves soon for you too! I usually end up crying with her when she’s having a really bad few days though, it’s horrible isn’t it? Fingers crossed she manages a bit more sleep soon. Hope you’re managing to get some rest too!

Yes!!! My boy is 8 weeks and hasn't slept during the day since he was 4 weeks (he doesn't sleep at night either unfortunately). My friend has a baby the sane age and her eyes are never open. I feel really seen off when people say sleep when the baby does, and I'm sure they don't believe me when I say he doesn't nap.

My boy does have feeding issues. We are still trying to get to the bottom of it and he has been put on specialist formula for possible CMPA. I think he may have silent reflux as well. Perhaps there is a link?? 🤔
