Night terrors?

My 4 year old daughter keeps screaming and crying whilst asleep. Seems more than just a bad dream as will be throughout the night. It’s upsetting and horrible to hear. Is this normal?

Yes! My dd had this a lot from about 18 months old to 5 years. It's horrible to witness but she never remembered anything the next day. We would just hold and gently rock her until it stopped.
