10mo fighting having 2 naps a day

Dd is 10mo and is currently fighting having 2 naps a day. She is currently awake having fought her 1st nap this morning and is perfectly happy and playing nicely. I've been contemplating if she only needs one nap a day (the nap she does have is usually 2 hours) but then I've read they can go through a bit of a regression at 10 months where they fight one nap but still need the 2. Just wondering if any one had any advice as to how to get her to have her 2 naps still please?

Why not just take her for a walk in the pram for half an hour in the morning? If she doesn't sleep then just her down after lunch instead.

If she's happy on one nap and sleeping well at night then it's fine.

I'd listen to your baby rather than books, try one nap when she's seeming to only want that and see how it goes.
My dd was having one nap on occasional day at that age, then occasional become more frequent until they're on one nap, it's not a switch that flicks from always having two to always having one, more of a transition.
My dd also dropped naps entirely at 22 months, she was just never that fond of napping (& still isn't at 17).
She did however always sleep though and would also occasionally sleep late on a morning to catch up on a lack of nap (presumably)

My lo went through this at 10 months. After a week or so, she went back to 2 naps. You could try cutting the first nap to encourage the 2nd nap

My LO went to one nap at around 9/10 months. Would have 1 lunchtime nap and slept great at night (12 hours).

I read loads that said he shouldn't but it worked for him so it's certainly possible!

My DD dropped to 1 (lovely long) nap a day at 10 months. She stopped napping at 23 months though, so I had a non-napping just 2 year old for the first lockdown Confused

DD1 dropped to 1 nap a day at 10 months & night sleep improved massively. I don’t think babies need as many naps as the baby books

What's your schedule? It might just need a bit of tweaking. Slightly longer wake windows.

My DD dropped to one nap at 10m. It was great actually it gave us loads more freedom in terms of getting out and about and also improved her sleep at night. She’s just two now and is still in the same routine where she has a long nap after lunch. Just now she’s starting to need less sleep in the day than before.

Both my babies were napping once a day at 10 months, so perhaps that's the case with yours? She might do better with one, longer nap. Try it.

DS dropped to one nap at 10 mo. I allegedly stopped napping at all at that age.

Sadly DS didn't ever turn it into one of those lovely long naps you hear about.
