How to stop co sleeping

My 8 month old for the last 6/8 weeks has slept in our bed every night between us... I love it, however... I'm wanting to start leaving him with family overnight or just get a bit of space for myself, just some me time! I'm only 24 and since he's been born I've only been apart from him 3/4 times for a matter of hours each time. I just need a break really. I'm finding that I can't plan a lot of things because I don't feel comfortable with other family members co sleeping with him, in our bed he will sleep the whole night most of the time between 11/12 hours; he has the odd cry but nothing his dummy doesn't help. He was sleeping in his cot from 8pm until 8am up until he was about 4 months. I've tried everything and I'm honestly struggling... he has a proper cot now but when I put him in his cot he will last max 3 hours then he's wide awake screaming but in our bed (even if we're not in the bed! He will just sleep through)

We set our monitor up to check he's safe whilst in our bed and he doesn't wake at all, sometimes does but again nothing a dummy doesn't fix. When he wakes in his cot after the max 3 hours (sometimes 30 mins) I give him his dummy and he just won't settle at all but as soon as his head touches our pillow he's asleep!

Really struggling, any advice appreciated!
