Following as I have the same. Resorted to co- sleeping again as she won't go down at all in her cot, just immediately screams and gets very distressed. All started when she started nursery and constantly got ill. Now 6 weeks in and contemplating a sleep consultant out of desperation

literally I was co sleeping for ages too! I've had so many health visitors tell me to keep at it and reassure him keep him in his cot pat him and so on.. I have to get him out because he won't stop crying 😢

@PermanentlyTired03 I know this is an old threat but I'm currently in the same hellish boat (13mo, separation anxiety since starting nursery and illness, goes to sleep fine at night in cot but then wakes and has to come into bed with me or screams bloody murder) - did you find a solution? I cannot co-sleep much longer because I don't get any sleep and am a total wreck. It's been going on 3 weeks now.

@Presently83 we went through ups and downs. DD slept in her bed for a while waking up a bit in the night, but always wanted to co-sleep. We’ve recently hired a sleep consultant as I’m expecting no2 soon and it has really helped.

In the end my partner went in and lay on her floor for a few hours for one night and the next night she was fine! Now sleeps 13hrs straight every night 😍 We had another minor blip around 22 months where she wanted us in the room when she fell asleep but then wouldn’t let us leave EVER so we swapped this for singing in a chair right outside her door and she was totally happy with that. Now we sing twinkle twinkle once and she’s straight down for 13 hours. Gorgeous.

my advice would be don’t write cheques you can’t cash: bringing her into our bed seemed an easy solution but it meant nobody got any sleep at all and it was then difficult to untangle. Though it was super cosy, even though we were all exhausted!
