Stay or time to move to bed?

Hi Mumsnet,

Looking for your experience - when did you move your LO from cot bed to bed?

My LO is 18 months old and is it time for him to sleep in bed rather than cot bed? Mind you he moves a lot in his sleep (it is unbelievable!) and sleeps in sleeping bag.

Mine's 4 and still in a cot bed! Sadly he was a precocious climber so the sides had to come off much earlier than I'd have liked but definitely later than 18 months. I think most people either move them into a single bed at the point they need the cot for another child, are moving the room around/decorating or if they seem to big for the cot bed? If they're still in a sleeping bag than they're fine in the cot!
