So my ds is between 7 and 8 months old, for the past two months he's been able to roll over both ways with breeze during the day time, initially on a night he would roll onto his tummy and wake up crying for me to settle him again which caused a sleep regression by he's now able to roll over both ways in his sleep peacefully.
However because he's so strong when he rolls over or tries to rock forward on his hands and knees he's forever banging his head on the sides of the cot. He has a standard wooden cot bed with no bumpers. I'm getting so worried that he's going to do some damage as he bangs his head against the sides every single night, he very rarely cries from these bangs and when he does cry as soon as I'm in there with him he stops.
My question is, do I need to worry about the amount of times he's hitting his head, should I get some cot bumpers to soften the blow but then I'm aware they're not safe sleep. I feel like anything I put in there with him to prevent any nasty bangs will only put his safe sleep at risk.
