Best schedule for 9 month old?

Which schedule would you suggest?

6am wake
9am - 9.30/45am nap
12.45/1pm - 2.30/3pm nap
6-6.30pm bedtime

Or

6am wake
9am - 10.30am nap
1.30/2pm - 3/3.30pm nap
6.30/7pm bedtime

Only problem is, first one doesn't guarantee long afternoon nap when I shorten the morning one.

And the second one doesn't guarantee a long afternoon nap when I do a long morning one.

Both suggested by sleep consultants

Obviously only reason why first one appeals as it's easier to drop first nap when he gets older! Let me know your schedules and what's best for your bubs!

I'm finding the same with mine
She's 8 months
If she does a long morning she won't do a afternoon or it'll be short
If she does a shorter morning then that can sometimes mean a longer afternoon but not always
I just don't think she needs much day sleep
She sleeps 6pm ISH-7am ish solid

@jupitermars1345 Yeah basically the same as us! He usually has 2-2.5 hours day sleep and 11-11.5 hours at night. We're dealing with early wake ups though!

I think it's much easier around a year when I think a lot go down to one nap.
I don't even know what I'm doing with her naps anymore tbh 😃

The second one.
We had a similar schedule as it worked out...
We dropped to one nap around 16 months and that nap is usually 11:30/12-2

We found it easier having a shorter afternoon nap and always woke after an hour max

@bookish83 thanks for letting me know!

I do the first one so a short first nap. Not really on purpose, it’s just neither of mine have ever done more than 1 sleep cycle in the morning. Overnight is 6.30-6.30.

About that age, I think we were doing

945am till 11 am nap I woke her.

2pm till 330pm sometimes 4pm

7 to 730pm bed.

I think we stuck to wake times
2.5/3 for the first nap.
3/315 for second nap
3.5 for bedtime.

It worked for us. But I think it varies on your lo.
I think someone mentioned that when they drop to one nap, it gets a bit easier. As one nap isn't enough, but 2 is almost too much.

I'm sure you are, but before the second nap, maybe offer a full milk feed? Full belly, for my lo, always helps. Even if it's within 30 minutes of lunch, I used to do a bottle, too.
