3 year old hysterical at bedtime

Over the past week, my 3 year old has been hysterical at bedtime. Refusing to go in the bath, running around screaming, refusing to get her pyjamas on & then refusing to get into bed. We have had a good bedtime routine for sometime now & other than occasional resistance some nights, she has been in bed by 7. Now with all the screaming & outright refusal, I’m lucky if she’s in bed by 8 & I end up loosing my patience with her with obviously doesn’t help…
Has anyone else suddenly had this change in behaviour at bedtime at this age? Or can anyone offer any advice? I end up forcing her in the bath & to get her dressed which is making it such a stressful time for both of us… I really want to get back to our nice calm (ish)routine!

Could be overtiredness, especially if there have been changes like starting nursery.

Could equally be that baby simply isn't tired until 8pm-8.30pm.

You don't have to do a bath every night if it's a battle. Once or twice a week is fine, just do a wash on the other nights.
