All sleeping in one room?

I'm 22 weeks pregnant and wondering what everyone's sleeping arrangements are?

I know for first 6 months baby will be sleeping in our room with us. But I do think that it's reasonable to expect that DH will do nights on occasion in the spare room so he can get some sleep instead of all of us having to be woken up.

Is this how you configured it? What works/worked for you? Is there any reason for us all to strive to be in one room or is that just kinda madness that'll lead to everyone being constantly knackered?

I'll be on mat leave and I have the boobs so I am fully prepared to be the one that has to do the majority of the feeds.

You honestly can't plan.

The first bit you do anything to get sone sleep, so shifts is quite common.

Then to quite a large extent your baby will determine where it goes from there.

We did a bit of everything - if the baby was sleeping well then all in one room, if not then you do what you need to do to not lose your mind!

I think not planning and being flexible is the best approach, all plans go to shit anyway

@labyrinthlaziness 🤣😂 I hear you! I'm just so grateful we are moving and so will finally have a spare room (we've been living with a mattress up against the wall in the office for a year). Something tells me the spare bed will probably finally be getting a fair bit of use!

We generally did the first part of nights till 12 to 1am, was my oh. The rest was me. I remember those days of being asleep by 730pm at the latest 😆 it worked for us. When she was having a bad night, I sent my oh in spare room unless I needed him.
