TV / sleep - How bad is it...

...that i let my 3 month old doze off on my bed with the TV on?

If I bring her down with me she'll just mither and doesn't really chill, which is fine but tiring (she's no 3 and my eldest has SN's and is draining the life out of me). If I leave her in the dark to sleep she just cries bless her.

She'll feed at 7ish, then has a period of just being awake before she sleeps again before waking for another feed around 11ish and then we all go to bed.

If I leave the Tv on in our bedroom she happily kicks away until she falls asleep allowing me to do a bit of on my own unwinding before I go to bed.

Is that really bad?

it isnt bad because you do what you have to do just to keep sane esp with a young baby.

You may have probs in a few months though, when she should/you need her to go to sleep on her own. She may become reliant on this way of falling asleep. Every child is so diff!

When my ds was little we did similar thing, he'd lay on us watching tv in eve and fall asleep. It did cause me probs but i managed to get him to sleep on his own and through the night by 9 mnth-1 yr.

It entirely up to you! Your the mum and like i said you do what you have to so dont let anyone tell you otherwise.

Maybe with her being no.3 she's just more used to the constant noise of a house with other children? When we brought ds2 home I slept with the radio on low in our room for several weeks because silence just woke him up. Plenty of time to change habits IMO. You do what you gotta do to keep sane like mad4mybaby says.
