Snuzz pod mattress HELP!

My little girl is 9 weeks old and is in the snuzz pod next to me, the mattress is so uncomfy and she sleeps so poorly, she sleeps brilliantly anywhere else... but wakes up and fusses and cries when in the next to me.

I was thinking of putting our single sofa bed in her nursery we have prepared and putting her to sleep in her actual cot (it has the IKEA foam Krummelur mattress) and I'll sleep next to her in the sofa bed till she's old enough to sleep alone.

When it's story time at night I put her in her cot to get her sleep bag on and she's out like a light so quickly that sometimes we don't get story time 🤣 that is until I then pop her down in the snuzz pod and she's wide awake and hating life.

Is this ok so you think and in-line with the SIDS guidance? Or is there a better snuzz pod mattress I can buy?

I just need sleep myself and so does she 😅

Of course you can put her in her cot and you sleep next to her on the sofa bed. You're still going to be sleeping in the same room as her. I think it sounds ideal

Yes that's a great plan and still in keeping with the SiDS guidance. It's taken my baby until 5 months to tolerate the hard mattress of the Snuzpod! I'd always recommend having a single bed or sofa bed in a baby and toddler bedroom anyway for flexibility during development leaps. During a leap you get no sleep!

I had this problem and I actually put the mattress from his carrycot on top of the snuzpod mattress but under the fitted sheet so he sleeps on that. It’s a perfect size for the snuzpod and slightly softer as I agree the snuzpod one is really hard. Could be worth a try if you have a carrycot :)
