9 month separation anxiety

9 month old with separation anxiety for every nap / bedtime... fine in day though.

HELP. Used Ferber at 5 months and he self settles. Now he screams whenever I leave the room and Ferber method with check ins don't work.

Any advice?

Sometimes if I sit in there he won't sleep as thinks I'm playing... I've gone back to work so miss some bedtimes now... think it's tied in with that.

Also like to add he self settles when dad puts him to bed but not me!

Maybe it's a phase? I would just offer extra reassurance, and hopefully, it passes. Not much help.
