Daytime naps

How do people manage daytime naps with older babies/toddlers? My baby is 8 months so I'm still able to go out and baby will nap in pram or car. Alot of friends go home every afternoon so their toddler can get their afternoon nap in cot, making days out very limited. Wondering what others do?

I guess really depends on the baby/toddler. Once they stop being able to sleep on the go, then I'm afraid they need more of a structured nap routine in the cot!

Yep, as pp said. My lo is a cot kind of girl. She sleeps on her belly or recovery position. I just accept it, and if we're on a day out, I accept that it's going to be overtired evening, with a short nap in buggy
