Hello everyone! I have a 19m old little boy and he's a dream. Sleeps through the night and goes to bed well. We are just struggling with getting the nap right in the day- some days he can't make it past 11am and some days he won't nap till 2pm. He naps for about 2 hours either time, but i try and try to be consistent and get his lunch down him at 12 then bed but he sometimes falls asleep before , if we are out in the morning. Then won't nap again later and gets very very cranky. Any advice? Thanks xx

You need to have more of a routine for him to to have predictable nap time. This means same bedtime and wake him up the same time everyday to anchor the day's schedule. You can only be the judge of how much sleep he needs so base it on that. If he usually sleeps around 11 hours a night, then wake him up once he has had that sleep, and put him down for a nap around 5 hours after he wakes up, and then bedtime is around 6 hours after he wakes from his nap. Once you do this everyday, then he will get used to the nap time.

You may need to adjust how long he naps for, so as he gets older he may not need 2 hours.
