Self settling for 19'month old

Help please, I'm trying to transition my Co sleeping 19 month old into her own room. Any tips on how to help her self settle? I currently have to rock/cuddle her to sleep (unless she's in the pram and self settles there).

Make a bed time routine before actually going to bed.
Get her to bed, tell her to lie down and say night night, sleep time. Leave the room, if she cries, go in and reiterate it’s sleep time. No picking up.
After a few days of the same routine she will understand. Consistency is key.

My son has a star projector that slowly changes colour- he seems to doze off watching them.

I was thinking about getting her a projector of some sort.
I really don't want to leave her to cry it out.

Could you set up a floor bed in her room? Cuddle her to sleep and then move away and leave her once she’s asleep? That’s what worked the best for us and didn’t involve any crying and meant he went from bed sharing all night to now refusing to even hop into my bed for a quick cuddle in the morning Grin

No need for cry it out. Just be consistent, stroke her hair, pat her back but don’t pick her up as it will make a rod for your back.

My son’s projector is a cheap one I got from B&m it’s silent. With stars that go yellow, green and blue. If I don’t turn it on he tells me “stars” 😂
Others have a slight noise which might help a bit by way of white noise.
