9 wo sleep - help

My DD is almost 9 weeks and I’m at my wits end during the daytime. Night time is fine, she sleeps from around 9pm through 6am waking once for a feed but during the daytime she has a severe aversion to napping and only the stroller seems to get her down and even then it’s broken sleep so it can’t be that beneficial. As a result she’s constantly over tired and every evening from 5pm through bedtime she grizzles badly.

I’ve followed all of the expert advice - dark room, white noise, rocking her and watch out for early sleepy signals (the only thing I don’t do is swaddle - she hates it!) but as soon as I put her down she wakes after a few minutes.

Has anyone experienced similar? I don’t want her to get too used to a container as she’s getting a bit of a flat spot now and I’ve also reafd that if babies are consistently overtired then they can have issues further down the line so I’m also panicking about this. She sleeps on average 12 hours a day and apparently it should be between 14-18 hours 😵‍💫

Look up fourth trimester. Have you tried contact napping? The only way I could get my lo to sleep at that age.

She’s still so small, it’s too early to expect her to know how to nap properly - would give that another couple months to be honest.

I know it’s a pain and inconvenient, but for now I’d try just letting her sleep on you during the day - probably much more likely to sleep better whilst you’re holding her. She’s still in the fourth trimester.
Use as time to just sit and chill for yourself also.
