Hey, i have a 4 month old (2 months corrected) and we have just established a sleep routine now shes a bit more awake in the day. She settles around 6:30 without a bottle so then we feed her about 7:30 as we feed every 3 hours and then again 11:30 and that will be her until about 9am. I’m worried this is too much sleep? She is my first and i’ve spoke to my GP about it and his advice was “never wake a sleeping baby or complain” im not complaining but i’ve never known a baby to sleep so well through the night with no wakings.

TIA x

Is she waking herself for feeds?
Is she gaining weight steadily?
Is she content and alert while awake during the day?

Yeah she wakes herself for feeds, alert when awake and gaining well her consultant really happy with her progress but just worried if theres anything like too much sleep lol. I guess i’m comparing her to actual 4 months old and forgetting she is only suppose to be 8 weeks so will sleep a lot

That’s fine. 4 month olds need between 12 and 17 hours of sleep a day according to dr Google. My 4 month old sleeps 11 hours straight at night and has 3 45 min naps in the day x

Enjoy it. Mine slept 12hours plus at 3 months. Still a fantastic sleeper at nearly three. Be careful who you tell as tired parents do not want to hear it!!!!

Enjoy it while it lasts!! 🙂
As long as she's gaining weight he fine I would but worry..
my now 6 month old was doing similar from 8 weeks unfortunately at 5 months she has decided she no longer needs sleep and is up every 2 hours to feed all night (she's decided she's too nosy during the day to feed which I think is part of the issue!)
