11 month old waking every hour

Hi,

I'm at my wits end. My 11 month old is waking every hour at night. Naps during the day are great, she sleeps 1.5 - 2 hours, twice a day.
However, at night she's going to bed anywhere from 8pm-10pm, sleeps the first 2 hours and then after that it's every hour until around 5am. That's where she decides to sleep solidly until 8am or get up for the day.

The health visitor said she thought it was a milk association but it worries me to stop it because I'm really struggling with weaning too and I don't want her to stop getting her vitamins. I do agree it could be because only once during the night does she drain the bottle. Other than that, it's just sips.

I don't know where to go from here. I've developed a good bedtime routine, tried to put her to bed earlier and she woke up at 1am and wouldn't go back to bed. I feel stuck.

I'm hoping some advice should help!

This sounds like hell and must be so tough for you!
I havent been through it at that age (had the same kind of waking at 4months though) but guessing from what you've described, perhaps too much sleep in the day time?
My boy is 18 months now but when he was approaching 1 he would have about 2.5hrs - 3hrs nap. We did 9am short nap circa 30- 45mins and then 1pm a longer 2hr nap. Up by 3pm for 7pm bedtime.

With the milk, I never night weaned he just gradually woke up less for it. I breastfed and he was off to nursery at 11.5mo, he never took a bottle so I was a bit worried about him being away from me all day. At about 10.5mo I gave him regular milk in a tommie tippie sip cup before I'd usually breast feed him, I'd still offer the breast afterward. After a few weeks he drank more of the milk from the tommie tippie and far leas breast and was only waking once in the night then when he turned 1 started sleeping through!!
Not sure if it was to do with dropping breast feeding but I do think part of feeding in the night was a comfort thing so could have been??
I stopped breastfeeding him at 13mo.

A lot of my friends with kids say that theor kids definitely slept better once they reached 12mo so hopefully this will happen for you too!
