4mo naps harder & more wakes

I know that the regression is here/approaching so was wondering if anybody had any tips on this…

My lg used to nap no problem in the day in her crib, but now needs to be on me. Any time I try to settle her in her crib she just won’t calm down. At night she settles eventually in her crib though.

I’m trying to not feed to sleep but caught in such a vicious cycle of it. How do you break it?!

She’s started waking up for 3 night feeds rather than 2. I know this could be worse! She gets really cranky if I try to feed her when she’s not hungry, so not sure how else to fill her up in the day..

She always goes back to sleep ok in the night but when she wakes up closer to 6 she is so wriggly! But not awake.. she will throw her head side to side but seems ok, more me worried she will wake up I think!

When she wakes up from overnight she’s so smiley and happy - is this possible after naps too?!

Thanks :) x

Nothing helpful to add but just going to comment to leave some solidarity and hope that someone more knowledgeable comes along soon who can help us both! Also currently feeding to sleep and want to break the cycle!

My 4mo only naps in a sling. Sleeps ok in cot at night (varying wake ups) but naps are a nightmare. I'll sleep train at 6 months and hope it sorts itself then

My baby has started sleeping in cot in day suddenly at 5 months! Hurrah!
How are your nappers going?

I went through the exact same thing around 4 months, it’s definitely the regression. My baby also suddenly refused naps in the crib and only wanted contact naps. Honestly, it does pass, though it feels endless when you’re in it. What helped me a little was keeping naps shorter and consistent with wake windows, and sometimes using the pram for one nap just so I could get a break (kind of like how sneaking in a quick game of Royaledle gives you a little breather during the day). The extra night feedings are normal too—growth spurts can sneak in around this time. Hang in there, it really does get easier!
