12 wo refusing to sleep off us

Help!

I posted earlier about bed times but the situation has drastically deteriorated 😬

My 12 wo is suddenly screaming every time we put her down. She goes to sleep fine, but as soon as she’s put down she wakes and is distraught. Properly devastating crying screams. She’s never been a good sleeper, but cosleeping had been helping. Last week she even improved to the stage of only waking once a night and even spending a few hours in her next-to-me cot.

Sleep started getting worse a couple of nights ago with hourly night time wakes, but this is something else! What’s happened to my baby?! Anyone had anything similar? What can I do to get her to sleep off me? This isn’t sustainable and I don’t want to fall asleep holding her.

(She’s been playing on her back fine today, so not sure it’s anything physical)

I had this with both mine. Warm the cot mattress with a hot water bottle so she isn't leaving a warm body to a cold mattress. Obviously being very careful it doesn't get too hot, just warm, and check it first. Then when you lay her down, gently put her lower end down first, head last, and rest your hand on her tummy for a minute while she settles. It will make the transition easier.
Best thing apparently is put them down drowsy, so everyone told me, but this never worked for us!

Can you feed her lying down on your side so that you don't need to move her once she falls asleep? This is what I've resorted to the last couple nights with my 14 week old.
