Back to short naps

Dd is 8mo and about 3 weeks ago we sleep trained which went brilliantly with good length naps and sleeping through the night. She is still sleeping through the night but at least 1 of her naps in the day (she has 2) is now only 45 minutes. Its usually the morning nap and she will still have a good afternoon nap but can be both. I was just wondered if anyone a) had any idea why she is back to short naps and b) what can we do to lengthen it again? We follow wake windows etc. She is on the verge of crawling so could this possibly be the reason why? And we do crib hour so even when she wakes at the 45 minute mark she doesnt get taken out of the cot until the hour is up. Tia.

45 mins seems like a decent time for a morning nap to me especially if she’s sleeping through the night and having a longer afternoon nap. It might be that if she’s adjusted to sleeping through the night she doesn’t need as much day sleep.

It might just be what baby needs
I think the internet can make us think babies all take these lovely naps and often they don't tbh.
My baby is almost 8 months and often does just 2 times 30 mins now 😬 my first was the same and I never managed to lengthen them
It's a right pain

Same as above - now she’s getting a solid night’s sleep she doesn’t need much day sleep.

DD1 had 28 minute naps until she started dropping naps at 18m. Her night sleep improved with each nap dropped, e.g. on two naps, woke 2-3 times a night, on one nap woke once, on zero naps slept through.

The internet can trick us into thinking that any baby can have lovely long naps and sleep 12 hours at night, when in reality I think they’re all individuals.
