10 month old early riser

Hi!

My 10 month old is generally a pretty good sleeper, I think she’s getting plenty of sleep but she wakes quite early and I’d love for her to wake just a bit later. Any thoughts on whether to leave things as they are or what I should tweak to try to encourage a later wake up? Her current sleep routine is:

5/5.30am awake
9-10.30/11 nap
2pm - 3.30/4 nap
7.30pm bedtime

Thank you!

I had the same problem. I cut that morning nap to an hour initially, which helped after a few days for a later rise, then had to cut to 30 to 40 mins. Its too much sleep in 24 hour period x x

Obviously bringing next nap forward. So more like
930am till 1030am nap
130pm till 3 or 330pm nap
7 or 730pm sleep.

Hi,

4 month old here. May be regression, or simply karmic retribution... who knows. Anyway, feel you about getting enough sleep, just waking up bloody early.
Mine also tosses and turns.

Not really expecting solutions though.

May we sleep through again.

Thanks folks! I think I will try your suggestion @ChittyBang1987 and limit the morning nap to see how that goes. This morning she woke before 5am, we gave her a dummy and she was happy enough to just stay in her cot where she eventually fell asleep again and didn’t wake til 7.40am!

Latest wake up ever but of course likely a one off and I’d prefer not to have the 5am wake up at all 🤞🏻

@Falmatt I feel your pain, she was very restless up til the six month mark and I felt like a zombie - at six months we put her in her own room which was a month of pain trying to get her to settle but now she sleeps through thank goodness (albeit only til 5am 😬) - hang in there….it will pass, you just have to hope whatever comes next is easier to cope with!
