Evening distress

My 4 1/2 month old has always struggled in the evenings. She used to cry for hours. That has mostly stopped, but she remains very grizzly and unhappy. We have tried putting her to bed earlier, but it still takes her hours to drop off (as it does when we put her to bed later too- sleep is a hellova issue for us!!)

She takes around 3 naps a day, sometimes 4. These naps are usually in pram or car. Used to wear her in the sling a lot but she's not taking to it so much at the mo.

From 5pm onwards she just seems so unhappy. Have to do a lot to stop her from crying all evening. Just wonder what people's thoughts are- I don't think she's overtired as have been working hard on her naps.

If anyone had a similar DC, did anything help?
