Please help me with transitioning baby

My baby is 15 weeks old and still sleeps swaddled. We used a love 2 dream when she was very little, moved onto Velcro swaddles at about 6 weeks and her sleep drastically improved. Now I am conscious she is close to rolling and she can break out of the swaddle / bring her hands right up to her face and wakes herself up.

I have bought a love 2 dream transition swaddle and we have used it for daytime naps with no problems (she only naps for 30-40 mins generally anyway) but the one time I have tried it at night she had 3 hours of broken sleep and then got so angry and overtired that I gave in and swaddled her Sad

She uses a dummy and will either knock that out or just bring her hands straight to her face. Either way she wakes herself up repeatedly. The love 2 dream allows her to do this as well (to a lesser extent) and she wakes up.

I am desperate to get her transitioned into arms out sleep but I just don't know the best way to do it, without jeopardising her generally very very good night sleeping. I also have PND and am very affected by sleep deprivation so I am very anxious. Does anybody have any tips that would help me please? Sad

Thank you xx

I used a magic merlin sleepsuit when transitioning my DD out of a swaddle. I didn’t do this until 5.5 months though (late roller) but it worked wonders for her. It’s quite thick though so kept the room cooler than normal.

we did one arm out one in as a transition for a few days.
One arm was always more flail-y than the other so I kept that one swaddled!
