If you breastfeed but your baby also had a dummy, how did you combine them to aid your baby's sleep? My DS is 3m old and although he's my second child, I feel clueless with his nighttime sleep as it's do different to what DD's was like - she was bottle fed by now. DS sleeps roughly 10-8 with a feed before bed and then at least two breastfeeds in the middle, but can be as many as 5. He usually feeds for between 10 and 20 mins and he falls asleep feeding. I then put him back in his next to me, 9/10 times he'd transfer fine, the odd occasion he'd stirr he'd go back off with the dummy. However the last few nights he has woke every time I've put him in his bed so I've had to use the dummy every time. I'm just wondering what other people do and how do you know when to start offering dummy first instead of a feed?
