Bringing bedtime earlier

Looking for some tips and advice on how to bring my daughters bedtime forward. She is 8 weeks old and bedtime is still very late between 11-12pm - this is just when she seems to naturally settle. When she is asleep generally we can get a good 6 hour stretch, sometimes more and sometimes less. She has slept for 8 hours on a few nights.

Should I be trying to bring her bedtime forward or will she gradually do this on her own?

If she’s sleeping a 6 hour stretch at a time when you want to be asleep yourself I’d say that’s pretty amazing and don’t rock the boat! But I had a total non-sleeper so I’m probably not the best person to ask Smile

Don't bother - she's 8 weeks old and some parents would kill for those kind of stretches. It will naturally get earlier.

My 2 year old doesn't always sleep this well. At 8 weeks he woke hourly. I think you're doing pretty well there OP!

I followed my babies lead. Your baby is sleeping really well for her age, don't go messing with that!!

At 8 weeks I would just follow her lead. She will probably bring her bedtime earlier of her own accord in the next few months. It was around 12 weeks our baby started shifting to a 7/8 bedtime from recollection (previously 10/11). When she did we started a bedtime routine and she has (so far) remained pretty good at settling.
