Can anyone recommend a baby bouncer to sleep in??

Hi

I know babies are not suppose to sleep in bouncers, however my son who is 12 weeks old saw a paediatric consultant who told me to put him in a bouncer to sleep, because he has reflux and cannot ever sleep flat. he only ever sleeps being held and he explained this is much more dangerous than a bouncer.

Just to mention, we have tried wedging his bed up etc which makes no difference.

Could anyone please recommend a bouncer that has a good position? The higher it goes the better, a lay down one won’t help him unfortunately. I’m hoping to find one that allows his legs to be in a more straight position (this is what the consultant said would be better)

I think the babybjorn look like a good angle, but a little too pricey for us, I mean if it works more than happy to pay the price but he might not even use.

Thank you so much xx

My son had very severe reflux and we used the Baby Bjorn - But it is is a good angle and pretty upright. I know it’s pricey but you can usually get bouncers second hand on marketplace or eBay? To sleep we put him in the chicco next to me crib which allows you to incline it.

I had a bouncer from IKEA, the Tovig which looks similar to the babybjorn. I don’t think they sell it anymore but I’ve seen used ones on ebay. Might be worth a look.

I feel your pain. I had a baby that wouldn't sleep anywhere but on me.
Second for the baby bjorn one. If you can get one off of ebay/ marketplace the covers are really easy to wash ☺️ or if you search gravity bouncer there are some dupes out there.

Have you tried any medication to help his reflux yet? My lo was triggered by a milk allergy so also another thing you may want to look into.

Could you not just higher the Moses basket at one end? That's what we did.

Thanks for your message. Oh really that’s interesting, the consultant has just put him on a special milk for allergy’s (as he has had poo in his Nappies and wants to see if it’s an allergy) so I wonder if that will help.

He’s currently taking omperazole which hasn’t helped but he was on such a low dose. Has just been increased, hoping that will help 🙏🏻

My DD slept propped up on a vcushion.

We positioned it under the fitted sheet so that it couldn't move around.

Neither of mine would have anything to do with a bouncer and Ds1 squirmed until he fell out. They both loved their swing, though.
