Hi, I'm in need of advice! My 2 year old will not sleep in his own room I am at my wits end, I have recently moved house and he now has his own bedroom. I have put on a baby gate and took him out of his cot! He will not stay in the bed and is now shaking/bouncing on the gate and also throwing toys over 😣 I go in and comfort him and put him back down!! This still does not end for hours. I am debating removing the gate and putting his cot back up for his safety? He's back in my bed as I am getting no sleep and due to give birth in 13 weeks 😮‍💨 I have no idea what am I going to do as I can not have him in my bed due to my partner then having to sleep on the sofa and my son is still waking through the night for milk if I don't give it to him he is screaming, hitting, head butting me. Should I put the cot back up and go cold turkey with his to CIO or is that cruel??? Please help !!!!

I would get DP to see to him but definitely cut out the bottles at night. It must be affecting his sleep and yours and it's probably affecting his appetite as well.

If he doesn't climb out of the cot I'd put him back into that as well.

Does your DP deal with any of the night wakings?

Yes he does on a weekend as he's off work but having to sleep on the bedroom floor 😮‍💨 he doesn't climb out of his cot, should I maybe replace the milk with water or just totally cut out the night time bottles? Lots of people have told me to let him CIO but will he feel neglected? I definitely don't want him to feel unloved! It's absolutely taking over my life to the point I'm getting 3/4 hours sleep and having anxiety every bed time 🥱
