7 week old doesn't sleep

My 7 week old DS doesn't sleep for more than 30 minutes unless he's out in his pram. He has reflux so seems to be in constant discomfort. I've spoken to the HV & GP who both said the advice is to do nothing!

He will fall asleep if he is on me or DP but wont sleep in his cot at all. Even when he's asleep on us he's writhing around & crying out. We hold him upright as much as possible to help with the reflux but he never seems to be comfortable & relaxed.

He's basically not been asleep for more than half an hour since 9pm last night & I'm absolutely desperate.

In the last few weeks we have tried: elevating his head end in his cot, Ewan the sheep, white noise, rocking to sleep, using a dummy, infacol, gripe water, dentinox, swaddling, using a heat pack in his cot before we put him in. Nothing has helped him sleep.

I'm at my wits end & getting really depressed.

We use carobel and used it for our first as well. It’s thickens the milk and helps keep it down. Both had a bit of constipation for the first 2-3 days but then it settled. You can get it on prescription or buy it over the counter for around £4. Maybe worth a try. Good luck
