11mo suddenly won't sleep at night

Hey there, wondering if anyone is going through similar or has any advice. I have a nearly 11mo DS who was a perfect sleeper 7pm-8am from about 10 weeks old until now. He has been in his own room from 6mo with no problems.

For the last 2 weeks he wakes, stands and cries in his cot until he is rocked back to sleep but he will wake as soon as you move him back into the cot. He will do this all night without a wink of sleep.

We have resorted to a couple of nights co sleeping to get some sleep which I would rather not do it long term as I am back at work, early starts etc.

I have tried sleeping on the floor in his room and patting whilst he is in cot, I did this last night, he cried and stood in his cot for 3 solid hours. He used to be able to self soothe but has suddenly lost the ability!

No advice but didn't want to read and run. My ds also 11 months started doing that a few months ago. He has since got better but still gets up and stops as soon as we enter his room and we lie him back down and usually goes back down. We have just kept lying him back down and shush patted and held his hand to reassure him, it's soul destroying not getting much sleep. Occasionally we still bring him into our bed but usually around 7am where he will sleep till 8.30/9.
