My 1 Year Olds Sleep Time

Hi,
I was putting this on asking for some advice.

I am a 1st time mum and my son turned 1 years old last week on Christmas Day.
He had regressed a lot with his sleep and is taking longer to settle at night time.
His routine is that he normally settles down for bed around 7pm. But lately we are finding that it is not till around 8:30pm ish before he is sleeping.
We have tried using relaxation music, baby soft sounds/white noise, having calming teddies, having a bath, having a bottle before bed but none of them seem to be working.
He is constantly fighting to go to sleep and will cry and wriggle around for hours.
I was wondering if anyone has any other advice that could help?
I am willing to try anything new to try and settle him properly for bedtime!

How many naps does he have at the moment?

If he's still on 2 naps a day then more than likely he's trying to transition to one. Both of mine went to 1 long nap fairly soon after their first birthday.

At the moment he still has 2 naps and has been doing for a while now.

He usually naps around 10am for about 45 minutes then naps again around 2pm for 1 hour (sometimes it can be more) but I never normally let him sleep anything past 4:30pm depending on what time he settles for his afternoon nap.

Should I be dropping one of these naps?

I would start to try to drop the morning nap and bring the afternoon nap forward to around 1-1.30pm.

Ok, starting from tomorrow I'll try just 1 nap and try to settle him around 1/1:30pm like suggested.

I'll update if there is any change and if it seems to work

1pm may be very late for 1 nap depending on when he wakes in the morning. Perhaps go for 11.30 to start then gradually shift a bit later as he transitions
