I have a 9 week old baby who is a big wriggler at night! He has always slept well in a bedside crib (thankfully!) we started out with Tutti Bambini Cozee Lite, which is lovely and spacious but when he was just over 5 weeks old, I woke up to him right up against the side of it which terrified me. The sides have mesh windows, but the bit which his face was up against is fabric. The manufacturers state on all websites that sell the crib that the fabric is breathable, but I still feel uneasy about this.
I swapped him into a Babylo Snug sleeper, which is mesh all the way around/down, so I’m not so nervous about him ending up right up next to the sides each night. It is a lot smaller than the tutti bambini though, so now my worry is will it be too small for him when he starts to roll? Does it matter if baby tries to roll but doesn’t have space to?
I don’t have space to move a proper cot into our room, so as soon as he outgrows whichever bedside crib I decide on, he will have to go in his own room. I don’t want to have to do this before 6 months though.
Am I just overthinking it?! First time mum and could do with any advice please.
TIA
