Help! Baby with eczema is a terrible sleeper!

My baby is 11.5 months old and suffers from severe eczema. As expected his sleep is awful. Sometimes nights he will wake after 30 minutes, or even 10 minutes and always expects to be fed back to sleep and wants to stay latched on. I find it difficult to sleep comfortably with him latching on several times throughout the night. Sometimes the itching makes him wake so we tend to moisturise and change his nappy (due to all the feeding his nappy looks like it’s about to explode).

Just to make it clear he’s not always waking due to itchy skin.

His eczema is currently being managed with steroids and moisturising ointment.

I am also really beginning to lose my patience at night as I am so sleep deprived. My husband takes him sometimes during the holidays when he’s off work and that helps a lot.

Does he have any food allergies? They can be linked with eczema and can cause poor sleep...things like CMPA. Or, any signs of reflux? Most grow out of reflux by 11 months but it can continue. My DS had reflux and he would overfeed to soothe this throat. He did short stints of sleep because he was so uncomfortable. Totally changed even he started on medication.

He has loads of food allergies and I have excluded them all from my own diet as well. My baby is mainly comfort sucking. Sorry should have worded is better in my post.
