Gro bag or duvet

Hey mums! Bit of advice and experience please!
My 18m old little boy is still in a gro bag in his cot with the side off and a cot guard to stop him rolling out. This works fine apart from the fact he wakes up in the night with the gro bag back to front /arms stuck inside it.
We have tried a duvet and pillow with him wearing a babygrow/pjs, but he then is able to climb out of his cot down the side of the guard or over the end of the cot. The gro bag almost restricts him climbing anywhere.

Any advise what we can do!? I think he would be comfier with a duvet and pillow but he's an escape artist: we found him the other night at 3am walking around his bedroom when we gave the duvet and pjamas another try.

Thankyou! X

we use a bag with feet in for our 20 month old. she's very comfortable in it and we'll continue to use it for the next couple of years probably.
I'm sure there are others but we use ones from superlovemerino that are all season and last years age wise

I would make sure his room was completely safe for him to be unsupervised in and stick with the duvet, he might be in and out of bed like a yoyo for a couple of days, but the novelty will wear off.

Yeah, I'd lose the cot guard and reduce the risks associated with him wandering around his bedroom. If there's nothing dangerous for him to get at what's the problem? The novelty will quickly wear off and you'll probably only have to put all his clothes back into the drawers a couple of times 😉

Thanks guys! We've already baby proofed his room so nothing is in his reach. I think you're right the novelty wil wear off so I'll do the duvet tonight! Thankyou lovelies xxx
