7.5 month old - increased night waking / bad napping

SORRY FOR LONG WINDED...

So my little boy has been sleeping my quite well from 4 months with 1/2 night feeds. He self settles for 90% of sleep unless ill.

He also was napping for 45 mins in morning, two hours at lunch and a cat nap before bed.

Last week he was ill (been ill with SO MANY colds this winter) and his sleep was disrupted. He wants rocking when sick which is completely fine.

His sleep started returning to normal although he was having more night feeds - which again is fine (if he needs two during a growth spurt or something)

However since Monday, he won't do his long naps. He won't resettle. He wakes an hour or two after bed screaming. I've tried sitting and rubbing his back but will only go off if I rock him, then he wakes again... and again. We usually then give his first feed at 10//11pm and he goes off the rest of the night till 4pm.

However we don't know why he's waking so early after bedtime as he shouldn't be hungry then! But he SCREAMS - even if we go in and out to comfort he won't stop till we pick him up / feed him.

We also don't know how suddenly he can't do long naps

Any ideas of experience?

Could it be teething? Developmental leap? Growth spurt? Separation anxiety?

He's learning to crawl / pull himself up atm.

But yes any tips or even just relatable mums please let me know!!
